The 20x21EUG Mural Project’s third project, Steven Lopez’s project on the 12-foot by 50-foot wall on the west side of WildCraft Cider Works’ warehouse at 254 Lincoln St. is eye-catching. Filled with yellows, purples and greens, Lopez’s mural was unveiled in October 2016.
The University of Oregon graduate came back to his college town to paint the wall and provide a subtle environmental message in the process. The bee and the honeycomb help remind viewers the important role bees play in cross-pollination. Without it, the fruit that is used to make things like WildCraft’s cider would be much more difficult to grow.
